Sarah Carter is a charismatic young songwriter with an English upbringing, Brazilian blood and a desire to touch the soul. Her sound is a blend of Jeff Buckley and Alanis Morissette, which she has combined in her own unique way. Sarah’s songs are easily accessible yet robust, appealing to a vast audience.
The band’s ability to convey emotion through a quiet pin dropping verse up to a massive driving chorus is awe – inspiring. ‘Intimate’ and ‘articulate’ are words that spring to mind when listening to the song writing, which is exactly where Sarah means to come from. “My aim has always been to create a band in which I could vocalize my emotions but that also had an edge to it that keeps the listener interested. The thing with our songs is that you never know what’s going to break next. People like the unexpected. It keeps them on their toes!” In June 2005 Sarah formed "The Sarah Carter Band" now "Sarah Carter", piecing together the best in young musicians on the London scene. In 2006 the band recorded their debut 10-track album ‘Of Stronger Stuff’ which was a great success.
